Welcome to my website!
My name is Jess Purver and I’m a communications professional, writer and digital content creator born and raised in Vancouver, B.C. Currently, I work as a Communications Specialist at Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, and I am the outgoing Director of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) at IABC/BC, where I served on the Board of Directors from 2020-2022. When I’m not working or volunteering, you can find me doing yoga, cooking, reading, painting and planning my next camping adventure.
This site was originally created during my time in the Journalism Certification program at Langara College in 2016. Since then, it has evolved into a visual brain dump where you’ll find my portfolio, photographs, j-school articles, personal projects and original blog posts.
