Welcome to my website!
My name is Jess Purver and I’m a communications professional born and raised in Vancouver, B.C. Currently, I work as a Communications Lead, Research at Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, and I am the outgoing Director of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) at IABC/BC, where I served on the Board of Directors from 2020-2022. When I’m not working or looking after my son, you can find me doing yoga, cooking, reading, painting and planning my next camping family adventure.
This site was originally created during my time in the Journalism Certification program at Langara College in 2016. Since then, it has evolved into a visual brain dump where you’ll find my portfolio, photographs, j-school articles, personal projects and original blog posts.
